OPEIU Local 6 News Flash June 7, 2010BIG NEWS Chief Justice Mulligan Will Not Appeal Arbitrator’s Decision OPEIU Local 6 was just notified that Chief Justice Mulligan will not appeal the Arbitration Award. As a result, the Award is binding on the Commonwealth. This welcome news clears the way to obtaining the negotiated pay raises. Union representatives will be meeting with Chief Justice Mulligan in a mutual effort to discuss compliance with this award. This final-and-binding Arbitration victory means that the Legislature has a clear legal obligation to fund the pay increases.
