THE BUDGET BATTLE IS BACK ON

The Senate has released its budget today.

By Friday, the amendment numbers supporting your proper pay (9 percent more and Step 8) will be filed.

Debate on the budget and the amendments will begin on Tuesday.

As soon as the Union sends you the amendment numbers, all Local 6 members—and family members and friends too—need to call their state senators and urge them to support the amendments.

You will be receiving a call sheet with the amendment numbers and instructions.  Everyone needs to be active in this. Calls from Local 6 members who live in Senate President Therese Murray’s district are especially critical.

In addition, Chief Justice Mulligan has asked to meet with the Union leadership about the arbitration award. Look for more information on that soon.
