KEEP THOSE CALLS COMING!! Have you called your State Representative? You have done an AMAZING job – but we need to keep the pressure on. If you have called and you haven’t heard back or they were uncommitted on your first call – CALL AGAIN. The more calls we are making, the more support we are getting. (Make sure you use the script we gave you.) Did you urge them to support the p ay raise? Tell them that you haven’t received a pay raise since 2006. Ask them to support your pay raise and to call Speaker DeLeo and tell him they support these amendments. What did your State Representative say to you? We need to hear from everyone. What was the response? We will meet with wavering legislators to gain more support. Many of you have made calls and we have close to 40 supporters, but we need to keep it up. The more legislators we get to support Amendments #363, 364 and 365, the better our chances. The Amendments will be deliberated starting on Monday, April 26, 2010. Let’s keep calling all this week and next week until our amendments have been acted on. Arbitration update The arbitrator has informed the parties that his decision will be issued on or about May 12th. Please post and circulate.
