Probation Layoffs Delayed Until November 20^th

At the request of Commissioner of Probation Jack O’Brien, and after discussions with the Union, the Chief Justice for Administration and Management agreed to an extension of the deadline for the layoffs.

As a result, the 65 probation clerical layoffs will be extended until next Friday.

This extension gives everyone a chance to continue to pursue an override of the Governor’s veto of $4.1 million. The legislative session ends at midnight on November 18, 2009.

Please call your legislators to ask them to support an override of the Governor’s veto.
