Seniority List Follow Up

As we reported yesterday, we posted the Trial Court’s seniority list on our website. You can access this list by visiting our website: www.opeiulocal6.org and clicking on “Useful Links.” Under that heading you will find one that says “Trial Court of Massachusetts Documents.” The seniority is sorted by overall court seniority. If you want to find your name, click on the binoculars or search and type in your last name. This will allow you to quickly access your information.

This list is preliminary and the dates have not been adjusted to reflect changes in status from full-time to part-time status, layoffs of 12 calendar months or more, leaves of absences, or suspensions.

Appeal Process:  If you have concerns regarding your seniority date, you have a right to appeal. The Seniority Appeal form will be posted, by the end of the day today, on our website.  You can access the form and the instructions using the same process you used to get the seniority list.

All appeal forms must be e-mailed to us at opeiulocal6@aol.com or faxed to 617.984.5882 by February 27, 2009. You can also mail them to: OPEIU Local 6, 77 Parkingway, Quincy, MA 02169.

A joint labor-management committee will review all appeals and determine appropriate seniority dates.

We also have been working with the Trial Court to get seniority dates for employees in the Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court. Those lists will be posted on our website next week.

Please post and circulate.
